From the Texas Realtor Magazine (Sept / Oct 2007)
The demand for houseing relines heavily on the number of people living in an area. To get a better picture of the Texas population, here's a look at a few key numbers.
11.2 million - Texas population in 1970
23.5 million - Texas population in 2006
33.3 million - Projected Texas population in 2030
218,715 - Net domestic migration to Texas in 2006
209,120 - 2005 population of Lubbock
215,770 - International immigration to Texas in 2006

The wonders of a website!
I heard a great quote today and I want to pass it along..."Real Estate markets are like the weather - they are all local." So, if you are hearing the national news and wondering what is really going on where you live, please, I beg you - call a Realtor!
Just a quick note to say that over the next few weeks, our website will be undergoing a transformation. My goal is to have a website that you feel you can use almost daily - for both real estate & non-real estate needs. And as always, if there is something you feel the website needs or the public could benefit from, please do not hesitate to let me know. Send me an email (candice@shinoakrealty.com) and I will work to accommodate your suggestions as soon as possible.

The start of something new!
Well - it is time for us to try something new! My name is Candice O'Dell, and I am a Realtor in the thriving town of Liberty Hill, Texas. I am starting this Blog in hopes of passing along interesting bits of news about, not only Real Estate, but also about the wonderful town in which I live.
I work with several great agents at my office - Suzy Bates, Bradley O'Dell and our Broker, Randy O'Dell. With their help, I will be posting to this blog items that will be of interest to you. I anticipate that this will become an interactive blog, where I am able to answer any questions that you might have about Liberty Hill or our local Real Estate market. And my promise to you is: If I don't personally know the answer - I will find it!
I do ask that we keep this Blog clean - free from profanity or ill comments about other agents or business' in the area. I do not like to say bad things about other agents or business' in town - everyone has the right to their own opinion and the freedom to make their own judgments.
As always, if there is ever anything that I can do to assist you in the Real Estate market - please do not hesitate to ask!
I hope each of you have a wonderful day!
